*So why did I change the title from BAD BOYS to HIGH SCORE?
I had to change it or get sued!  Why? Because Kensington wanted exclusive use of that title.  And you thought titles couldn't be copyrighted? So did I!  They claimed they had it trademarked, but attorneys couldn't find evidence of any official trademark registration.  So it boiled down to a matter of whether it would cost too much to go up against a wealthy corporation in court.

And all this after I'd promoted BAD BOYS for a year and a half!  There goes a lot of time and effort for nothing.

How important is a title?  Do titles help sell books in the same way that cover art does?  It will be interesting to see what customers prefer.  I mean, will BAD BOYS earn out more royalties per month than HIGH SCORE?  It remains to be seen ...
